May bank holiday weekend

 

In warm weather the Irish junior wildwater racing squad had the latest wildwater training on the river Inny. On the Saturday, the squad paddled 30 km concentrating on classic race training and team classic training. Whereas on the Sunday the focus was on sprint training.

The ulimate aim of all of this training is get the best possible performances in the world  junior championships in Swizerland on the river Engelbergeraa in July.

Next junior training weekend is 20-21 June 2009.

Junior Squad Training Day, Easter Monday 13. April 2009

A Junior Wild Water Racing Squad training day is being organised for Easter Monday the 13th of April. The exact location is yet to be determined (and it will depend on available water) but it will be around the Dublin area. The day will involve two on the water training sessions, on in the morning and one in the afternoon and during the afternoon the emphasis will be on team event training.
 
The following paddlers are on the Junior Squad and are all invited to attend the training.
